CELEBRATION CAKES

Birthday, anniversary or special occasion?

I offer semi-naked buttercream cakes in a range of flavours and sizes.

All my cakes comprise 4 layers of sponge and are filled and covered with buttercream.

 

Decorated with a buttercream border around the base of the cake, and swirls of buttercream around the top, all cakes are topped with organic chocolate bees and daisies. 

​

The centre of each cake is left blank so there is room for you to add your own candles or cake topper if you wish.

Flavours

Vanilla

Classic vanilla sponge layered with your choice of raspberry or strawberry  jam and vanilla buttercream.

 

Decorated with vanilla buttercream and organic milk chocolate bees and daisies.

Alternative decoration

(additional £5):

Fresh berries piled high in the centre of the cake, or in a circle around the top and bottom of the cake.

Chocolate Orange

Fresh oranges and ground almonds make this flourless chocolate cake deliciously moist and moreish.  Filled and decorated with chocolate orange buttercream, and topped with organic white chocolate bees and daisies.

Orange

Fresh oranges and ground almonds make this is a moist and citrussy cake, filled and decorated with  a zesty orange buttercream and topped with organic dark chocolate bees and daisies. 

Chocolate

A rich chocolate sponge, layered with chocolate buttercream.

Decorated with chocolate buttercream and organic white chocolate bees and daisies.

​

Alternative decoration

(additional £5):

Lemon & Elderflower

Layers of moist lemon sponge soaked in an elderflower syrup, filled and decorated with lemon buttercream, and topped with organic dark chocolate bees and daisies. 

Banoffee

Banana cake studded with milk and dark chocolate chips, filled with a caramel buttercream.

Topped with your choice of organic milk/dark chocolate bees and daisies, or banana chips and fudge pieces.

For an additional £2, I can add bronze/gold sprinkles.

Salted Caramel

A caramel sponge layered and decorated with a salted caramel buttercream.

Coffee

A flavoursome coffee sponge layered and decorated with a smooth coffee buttercream and organic dark chocolate bees and daisies.

A lightly spiced moist carrot cake with sultanas, filled and decorated with an orange buttercream, and topped with organic dark chocolate bees and daisies.

Sizes and Prices

The table below provides a guide for the size of cake you will need depending on

whether you choose to serve finger portions or dessert portions.

​

Finger portions measure 1″ x 1″ and are the traditional size for wedding cakes served with tea and coffee, after dessert.

Dessert portions measure 2″ x 1″ and are recommended if you plan to serve your cake as the main dessert

(this is normally chosen for celebration cakes).

Prices based on a semi-naked buttercream cake with each tier comprising 4 layers of sponge, filled and decorated with buttercream, and organic chocolate bees and daisies. Please see flavours above for prices of optional additional decorations.

All cakes are presented on a white cake board and come in a cardboard cake box.

Please note stands are not provided and are for illustration purposes only.

How to Order

All cakes are available to order for collection from my ice cream van,

'Joanna's Gelato' at Salisbury Market on Tuesdays and Saturdays (March to October).

 

Collection is also possible from my home address in Wylye, Wiltshire.

Local delivery may be possible subject to availability and a small fee.

I can provide gluten-free cakes, and some dairy-free cakes. Please note that all my recipes contain eggs, and some contain nuts.

Whilst I do my best to prevent cross-contamination, please be aware that I do handle multiple allergens in my kitchen.
